Summary

He claims he wants to help and though Megumi doesn't really buy it, Gojo is determined to aid him anyway.(Or in which Tsumiki’s mother leaves behind only the child that wasn’t hers, and Gojo Satoru finds himself trying to earn the trust of a boy who’s never known safety, and decides to raise him anyway.)

Summary
Megumi Fushiguro leads a simple life.
During the school year, he attends Jujutsu University, spending most of his time with his nose in a book or trying to avoid his pseudo-father figure and head of the Philosophy department, Gojo. During the summer, he comes home to the snug beach house owned by said professor in the small town of Chatan, off the Japanese coast in Okinawa, where everyone knows everyone and summer seems to last all year long.
Megumi isn't the biggest fan of the sun. Regardless, he doesn't hate the idea of time to catch up on his reading, enjoy some cuddles with his puppies, and hang out with his sister. He's expecting a quaint summer spent mostly in good solitude.
What he doesn't expect is a pair of bright brown eyes and pale pink hair, surfing into his life on a wave and taking his begrudging heart with it.
Maybe the sun isn't so bad, after all.--
In which Megumi Fushiguro gets a summer job as a lifeguard and keeps running into the same bubbly surfer, who, for some reason, he can't get off his mind. (That surfer is Yuji Itadori, naturally).

Higuruma blinked. “I'm sorry, did the Fushiguros talk to you about their guardianship arrangements?”
You and Gojo share a look, equally befuddled. He mutters an uncertain “no” while you shake your head. Higuruma wrings his hands over the table and purses his lips uncomfortably, as if woefully unprepared to deliver bad news.
“Well, in preparing their will, they discussed who would look after Megumi in the unlikely and unfortunate event that they should both die,” He clears his throat before glancing back and forth between you and Gojo across the table. “And they named…both of you. Together.”
A beat.
“WHAT?!”
