    “You told me,” Ben says hoarsely, into the silence. “You told me once that you chose your name because you wanted to make your own kind of glory.”

    There are very few people who know that. Most of them are dead.

    “Glory,” Ben continues. “Kote. Cody. It is you, isn’t it?”

    “You know me,” Cody manages. “How do you know me?”

    Ben reaches up towards his own helmet, very slowly. Cody is helpless as he pulls it off, lets it rest in the space between them, and looks Cody dead in the eye for the first time in six years.

    “You said it yourself,” Obi-Wan Kenobi says. “You killed me.”

    Glory wants a job. Obi-Wan wants his nephew. Luke wants a bantha. Also, there's a crime syndicate and a love story worked out somewhere in the middle.

    Cody takes a steadying breath. The general cares so much for this planet, but they can regain a planet. They can’t regain lost lives. “Sir. We need to begin an evac.”

    Uncertainty flashes behind Obi-Wan's eyes, then understanding; not for the first time, Cody is grateful for all of the long hours spent just the two of them, making it easier to read each other’s expressions. “They’re stronger than we thought,” Obi-Wan guesses, certainty colouring his tone as Cody nods. “Give the order. I’ll head into the front, provide what cover I can.”

    “Sir—”

    “Cody. Get your brothers out of the front.” He smacks his newly tied vambraces together to adjust them to his comfort, then pulls Cody close, pressing their foreheads together in a Keldabe.

    “Hi, I’m-“
    “Skywalker.” Din says, crossing his arms, already annoyed at the car parked in his usual spot. Skywalker looks just like Din expected him to. All flash, no substance.
    “Exactly,” he grins and looks Din up and down. “-you must be Mando.”
    “Guilty as charged.” Din says, “-if you’ll excuse me, I gotta bring-”
    “Want some help?”
    “No.” Din says, immediately. “-it’s my job.”
    “Oh, I don’t mind.” Luke grins, “-Owen would insist on helping you.”
    It’s annoying that Mando is handsome, Luke thinks. Makes it harder to hate this interloper on sight.
    “You’re not Owen.” Mando points out, raising a brow.
    Luke gets the feeling he’s just been insulted straight to his face.
    “No.” Luke says, "I'm not.”
    Nevermind. Maybe hating Mando will be easier than he expects.

    Camie's getting married. Estranged from Owen & Beru, Luke goes home for the first time in 10 years. He's not looking forward to meeting their farmhand, the man who’s been living his old life ever since he left. Din isn’t particularly excited to meet Luke either; not when he already hates him for abandoning people who are like family to him now.
    They both try to be civil. Fireworks ensue instead.

    Cody Fett lived in the lighthouse at the edge of the sea by the beachside town of Kamino, and no matter what his brothers said he was fine with his life and routine.
    He didn't intend to get wrapped up with one of the town's newest residents, one Obi-Wan Kenobi, but the more he fell for the man the more he wanted to know about him and his strange family.
