Summary
Tethers were nothing unusual, they were as natural as the colour of a leaf turning in the autumn, or the sunset turning the sky into a myriad of colours. They were not rare, or unknown, they were pure, and all humans had some semblance of a tether to one another. There were fewer born with tethers, some developed theirs when they fell in love or recognised their tether at first sight, it was as if something would snap into place for the pair who had been 'fated' to meet.
Alex lost his tether when he was a child, it broke, breaking his heart. He'd grown up and moved on, deciding to live life for his lost tether. But when he meets Henry, his chest aches. He can't understand why, but he will.
