Summary
It is only when Hao is being consumed by fire, the flames licking insistently at her ankles and running across the fabric of her skirts, that Hanbin realizes she is not the ocean at all—all this time, she has wondered about the absoluteness of her, drowning in the surety that nothing, other than the sea, is so loud and all-consuming and fatal: but Hao burns. Somehow, Hanbin has not seen it until this moment, but she sees it now, obvious and glaring and threatening to melt her to liquid; Hao burns, so bright and fierce that it's blinding. Not even a being as large and endless as the ocean could deliver this grace to her, as Hao’s glowing figure does now.
(There is a sharp pang in Hanbin’s chest, impossible to ignore, and she feels her eyes grow wet from the sting of smoke and the gentle caress of Hao's unignorable beauty. It is now that she understands the finality of her situation: she is, hopelessly and endlessly, in love with this woman. She thinks she will die from this pain.)

Summary
It wasn’t that kissing Gyuvin wouldn’t be nice—he was sure it would be. Gyuvin was hot. A few of their other mutual friends had gotten involved with him in the past, too, and Hanbin had never heard anything but positive opinions after the fact. He had no doubts about his kissing ability, or a lack of attraction between them. That was all fine and there.
It was Hao watching them kiss that was the problem.

Sung Hanbin wasn't stupid. He knew, realistically, that anyone could show up during someone's office hours. He knew, realistically, that the door was unlocked, even.
He knew that fucking your professor was wrong. Inappropriate. He knew that, realistically. He did.
But,
"More, please," Hao cried out, hands splayed on his very own wooden desk, body bent over his very own students' half-graded assignments, clock ticking down until Hanbin's next class and Hao's next meeting, and really - who was Hanbin to be realistic in this moment?
