Due to a university credits snafu, Midshipman McCoy has to repeat Advanced Calculus. He's really annoyed about it, until he sees the instructor. Mostly a farce.
Tropes: First time. Sex with a virgin. Academy Fic. AU.
Warning: Sexual activity in a parental home (with parents in close proximity). Doesn’t really follow canon, so consider it an AU. Spock is only 19 years old in this. McCoy is about 27. McCoy is divorced but doesn’t have a kid. And there is the tiniest mention of AdCalc equations (but this fic isn’t really about math anyway, even though the title may suggest it) so it may or may not be correct.

McCoy’s expression turned to a frown. “What exactly are you saying, Spock?”
He needed McCoy to leave. No, he needed him to stay. He needed control. Or maybe he needed to lose it completely.
“Your emotions are quite… prominent.”
McCoy blinked. “Spock?”
He was on the verge of making a decision from which no part of their relationship could return. And then he was struck with a thought.
“Doctor, what occurred between you and my alternate self one month and two days ago?”
Or: Spock and McCoy deal with their emotions in the aftermath of “Mirror, Mirror”. Turns out, there are realizations to be had between them (i.e. they like each other).

"Spock?" He asked again, his voice sounding small even to himself.
"I am testing a theory," the Vulcan simply said before he cupped McCoy’s face in both hands, closed the distance, and enveloped McCoy's mouth with his own.
McCoy froze.

Or: Spock has developed feelings for Bones. When offered the opportunity to sleep with Bones, he takes it, thinking it will cure him of his emotions towards the man. Naturally, it doesn’t. Little does he know, Bones is already head over heels for him, too.
