Summary
Prophesised heroes were meant for glorious yet young demises and cold, bitter tears shed on unfeeling tombstones; the warm contentment of a long, simple life lived beside those they loved just couldn’t belong to them. Still, Anakin had never felt like a hero. Despite all the name calling and the hushed murmurs, despite ancient prophecies and the omnipotent will of the Force, Anakin was nothing but a man. And men could love and be happy and die meaningless deaths surrounded by affection.
When Anakin starts having dreadful dreams of his beloved Master in danger on a fiery planet, both men will be confronted with the depth of their bond and with how far they’d be willing to go to save it.
