“What?” you snap out. “A divorce?” You scoff, shaking your head at him. “No, what I want is a husband that will actually come home and raise his kid like he promised. But instead I have someone who follows us around on rooftops and lurks in the shadows thinking he’s some silent protector and not a fucking deadbeat. So yeah, I’ll settle for a divorce. It’s the next best thing I have.”

Your husband left you before he could fuck things up. Too bad he still is when he appears in your life several years later, on the advent of your move from Gotham, and asks to meet his daughter. The past is a hard pill to swallow, but Josie deserves a dad. You just have to make sure you don't pussy out of seeing Jason again. Or, at least, that you don't kill each other.

Summary
Albus Severus Potter lives in the shadow of his family's greatness. He's a disappointment. He's a failure. He's barely even a wizard. He knows all of that. But what he doesn't know is the last name of the mysterious new potions professor.
If no one believes in him but Scorpius, the lovely boy, then he'll have to prove he's worth believing in. There's been far more storms than usual on Hogwart's grounds, and nighttime brings with it a wailing call that echoes against the walls of the dungeons. That seems as a good a place to start as any.
