Laudna has six months left before she finishes high school and she can turn her life around.
She may be homeless, she may be lonely, she may be traumatised beyond belief because of that time she was actually murdered and then all of the horror that came afterwards, but things are looking up!
She has just started going to group therapy and everyone seems very nice! Also Imogen is there and she has always been very kind to Laudna.

"Fearne, I'm really sorry."
"Yeah, I know."
"I mean -"
"You already apologized. I know you're sorry."
She looked and sounded almost soft, comforting. It was clear her anger over what happened had diminished over the events of the day, but there was also a guarded tone in her voice, like maybe she already knew what he meant.
"Not for everything."
She sighed. Her eyes dropped to the flames rising from her hands, and Ashton's followed, enraptured by the bright, flickering heat.
"Yeah, um -", she said softly. "That."
Or: Fearne and Ashton try to figure things out: Not just their new elemental powers but also the path to resolving the tension and the complicated feelings between them. Bell's Hells talk about some of the things that have been shared in their first trial of honesty. Fearne can't sleep and has an idea.
