    Then his phone rang, which rendered all his previous efforts to not wake his still asleep boyfriend useless. Will stirred gently, and Hannibal took the phone and dashed from their bedroom. The call came from Nigel, who was a long term source of rudeness around Hannibal. He considered declining it, mostly because he did not want to deal with his annoying twin at five in the morning, and there was a myriad of excuses at his disposal. In the end, however, he sighed and hit the green button on the screen.

    Hannibal considered starting the conversation with “this call had better be for a good reason”. A bit rude, but he figured Nigel deserved it. But before he could decide, Nigel spoke first. Of course he did.
