"'I don’t know how to live without you,” he blurted, tone rather cold for the warm weight of the words he had said. He said it matter-of-factly, like he was telling Soap that the sky was blue. Soap stared at him. 'I’m… I don’t know how to say this. I’m fuckin’ lost without you, Johnny. Seriously. I’ve spent every night for the past two weeks staring at the ceiling, wondering what you’re doing. I can’t fuckin’ sleep unless I can hear your breathing. This isn’t ‘cause we fooled around, either. We both needed that ‘cause we were going a bit insane, but this is different.'"
(Alternatively, time in between missions makes Ghost realize that he doesn't know what to do without Soap. Thankfully, Soap understands.)
