Summary
Utahime likes to start her mornings at seven.
She follows a simple skin care routine, makes herself a light breakfast. She commutes to work, reviews the status of the projects in various stages of production she oversees; makes calls, sends emails, has meetings that could've been emails, then leaves by seven. She is fine with this. She likes that she was able to establish a routine that makes her feel safe, after all the trials and tribulations — and unpredictability — she encountered upon entering the entertainment industry as a young girl. In direct opposition, she abhors it when her routine is threatened, but when a highly anticipated project is dumped on her, she has no choice but to go with the unpredictable flow. And believes she can handle it.
Until someone that initially seemed to have forgotten her, suddenly remembers.
Their fingers unexpectedly brush and the most peculiar sensation courses through her body.
“If you’ll excuse me,” she manages.
He says nothing as she turns to leave, but then calls: “Have I met you somewhere?”
She turns the right side of her face to him and lies: “I don’t think so.”
