On Kamino, sometimes things went wrong.
The Vode knew it in a whispered way, in tales told after lights-out about a figure on the landing docks, standing, staring, there one minute and gone the next.
The Kaminoans knew it in that deep, primal way that history follows you, warns you—the patterns born out over a civilizations’ rise leading inevitably to its fall.
The Mandalorian trainers didn’t know it, didn’t want to know it, chocked it all up to faulty construction or natural disasters or just plain bad luck. Even as it breathed down their necks, they couldn’t face the possibility that the decisions they had made and the children that they’d doomed would haunt them.
The Vode, in truth, had the right of it: it always started when she came from the sea.

“Sir,” Commander Cody said. He sounded strangled.
Or: The Clone Wars start a week after Qui-Gon dies and Anakin becomes Obi-Wan's Padawan. Burdened with doubts, new responsibilities, and a former slave child to take care of, a twenty-year-old Obi-Wan finds himself adopted by an army of clones. The clones take care of their own, after all—but then again, so does Obi-Wan.

Summary
Once the Kenobi floodgates are opened, they cannot be closed. Cody has apparently been keeping an itemized list of disagreements, and he is determined to tell Rex each and every one of them.
Kenobi refuses to listen to Cody’s input. Kenobi throws himself into battle with no regard for previously established battle plans. Kenobi uses the Force so recklessly and obviously that every undercover assignment is blown within the first few minutes. Kenobi is a hypocrite who berates Cody for sidestepping protocol, but flouts it himself at every opportunity.
