Francesca Davenport is a no nonsense, infuriatingly cocky detective superintendent with a smug grin and a penchant for rubbing the short haired DI the wrong way. Summary
In short, 6x07 never happened. Jo and Kate are an established couple and were recently married, with this fic starting on the first day of their honeymoon!
For all intents and purposes, the rest of series 6’s story line happened - Jo was in the OCG, Kate did shoot Ryan, the two had fled in Steve’s Porsche only to be tracked down by Patricia Carmichael and dragged back to AC-12. However, Jo never goes into Witness Protection. Hastings, Arnott and even the daunting Carmichael ensure that their statements, along with Kate’s, prove that the Scot was acting through the fear of her life and the repercussions of saying no to Tommy Hunter and his cronies. She was keen to help out with the enquiry and her comprehensive notes & personal knowledge of the OCG had allowed them to take down every single high ranking member of the group. The duo were engaged not long after Buckells was charged and sentenced to numerous life sentences, married in an intimate ceremony six months later.
Minimal angst, this is all about happy flemson fluff and loved up adventures in the sun.
Rated E for smut in later chapters and for any adult themes/language. -

so this has absolutely nothing to do with LoD aside from the fact I’m using Kate & Jo, I’m also using Homefires as the setting because it seemed like the perfect cross over (:
