Summary
“I heard you are looking for a pilot,” he says, sitting down.
Obi-Wan stays very quiet for long seconds. Then he seems to shake his head like he is imagining things, stops again for a minute and finally, finally, he looks at Anakin.
Anakin didn’t think it would feel so good to watch the shock on his old master’s face. His hair is peppered with white strands but they are the same smart eyes, the same freckles on his nose, the same curve to his mouth, that just asks for a kiss.
That mouth opens, closes. Recognition floods into his eyes and he chokes into his drink, but he looks around and stops himself just before he says Anakin’s name and blows his cover.
Or, five years after leaving the Jedi Order for good, Anakin finds out that Obi-Wan needs a pilot. He could ignore it, but maybe it's time to face old demons and to dig up some truths.
