Summary
Daryl's been on his own for six years now. Almost seven. He's been out of the fire, but he still feels the world around him burning. He likes his job at the auto shop. He likes his little studio apartment. He likes the neighbor girl Beth. But he still wakes up every night, drenched in sweat even when they're not in a heatwave. Still hears his father's voice in his head, feels the scars on his back like they're fresh. Still hasn't wrapped his head around his freedom.
Rick is powering through it. The loss, the anger, full custody of his two kids. It was a dream of his once to never have to send them back to their mother's house again, a silly thought but one he felt in his heart every time they left his Jeep for the week. He's gotten his wish now at a terrible price: the loss of his ex-wife and childhood friend, and the terrible knowledge he has to choose to bury for the sake of his kids.
Their paths cross and while Beth may try to take credit for playing matchmaker a little bit, they end up starting something that neither one wants to stop.

Just like every other day, Izuku mumbled up a storm and about fifteen minutes later (a drastic increase from the measly three minutes he would have gotten in their first year), Katsuki turned to him and snapped. "Shut the fuck up nerd! I can barely hear myself think!"
And Izuku's jaw practically sealed itself shut. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't open his mouth to speak. Thankfully, he wasn't called on during the lesson, but that didn't mean he hadn't tried to participate. He just couldn't.

Summary
