Summary
Max doesn't know what to do after Chloe dies. She's lost a bit of herself, a bit of everything, and she doesn't quite fit into the world she's thrown herself in. But Warren tries to keep up with her, tries to coax the life back into her the only way he knows how. He thinks he's crazy, but he thinks it's worth it.
Seconds pass and they always will. Time wittles away at everything.

She's lost a bit of herself, a bit of everything, after Chloe has died, and this has never quite been home. Not now. But there is a light, however dark, however far, that she knows is at the end of the tunnel. She will find it, eventually. Even if it's an awkward bumbling boy who helps lead her to it.

Summary
At twenty-five, Max has spent the majority of her adult life fleeting from one place to another. She knows she's chasing after dreams and when she bumps into Warren, she lets herself get wrapped in his awkward charm just for the sake of the distraction. And now, two months into this chaos, she still has no idea of what she’s doing. She likes the way his eyes follow her as soon as she enters a room, how she doesn’t have to try much to make him happy. She does not like how he pushes and pushes against her, even when there's no bed beneath them, as if by being close enough, he can get her to spill all her thoughts. They are in a fixed state, unyielding. Something has to give.
