Summary
Picking up where “Condemnation" left off, this full-size Homestuck Ancestors novel depicts Mindfang’s discovery of and red romance with the Summoner, her inspiration of his rebellion against the repressive bloodcaste system and the response of Her Imperious Condescension. Aranea’s web of intrigue and her reluctance to face her past come back to haunt her even though she’s made great changes in her approach to life with everything coming to an end in dramatic fashion.

Almost a sweep after the events of "Beautiful Jewel", Marquise Spinneret Mindfang has put her Gamblignant skills towards a new mission, inspired by her former matesprit, Porrim Maryam. However, the Marquise is still a wanted woman: a young legislacerator, Neophyte Redglare, has been tasked with bringing Mindfang to what passes for justice on Alternia. Her zealousness for this task brings her into Mindfang's grasp, where a dance of deceit and caliginous romance begins... and ultimately ends tragically for them both.

Porrim Maryam, once known as Dolorosa, has endured much as of late: the gruesome loss of her adopted son and the dissolution of the Signless' band of messengers. One night, however, her warden, known to her as Mindfang, does something she never could have expected: tries to earn her trust. Porrim, who has never made much time in her life for herself, finds Mindfang's unorthodox methods rather surprising...
This is the first chapter of "Beautiful Jewel", my "as canon as possible" Mindfang/Dolorosa/Dualscar tale (and the first story of a trilogy which is nearing completion). Just so you know what you folks are getting into, it most definitely NSFW, but mostly because something that would be depicted in Mindfang's Journals would be as well.
