“Victor?” he asked, suddenly very aware of how close Victor was. Had they been this close before? Yuuri didn’t think so. Victor took a deep breath, his face tilted down towards Yuuri’s neck.
“You smell different today,” he said, and Yuuri felt his cheeks flush a little.
“Sorry, I’m approaching my heat,” he admitted. It was very early in his preheat, so he hadn’t thought Victor who was unpresented would notice. These moments with Victor were so special to him, so he didn’t want to miss them for something like preheat. He had a couple of days until he would have to be locked up to ride the cykle out after all.
_____________________After presenting as an omega at the age of 16, Yuuri is placed in an omega center. There he is to be schooled and then matched to a mate. Yuuri struggles with fitting in, the loneliness almost overbearing - until an unpresented attendant’s son trips over him.

Summary
On his way to the Vancouver games, Viktor is caught up in a blizzard that grounds his plane. In a fit of determination (or perhaps just stubbornness) Viktor tries to make his way by car, only to be left stranded on the side of a Canadian road with Makka. Cold and afraid, they make for the safety of a small cabin, hoping to find refuge in the home of a mysterious, bearded, Japanese man. He finds far more than he could have ever imagined.
