Summary
The story begins 36 years ago, two years after the battle of God Valley. Luffy, as Big Mom's child, was born. At that time, Roger had not yet become the Pirate King, and the future infamous Four Emperors were still just powerful pirates. The old era was brutal and unforgiving, while the new order had yet to take shape. This "variable" that would go on to stir the world arrived earlier than expected—how would the original course of history be rewritten?
The story primarily focuses on Luffy’s childhood, because little Luffy is just too cute.

Summary
Monkey D. Luffy, un muchacho de pueblo buenazo e inexperto y de apenas 19 años acaba metido en la cárcel cuando su abuelo huye a una isla paradisíaca del Pacífico y le deja endeudado hasta los cojones. Una gran deuda para la que, legalmente, había dejado a su nieto como aval, condenándole a sufrir todos sus crímenes. Así, acaba en el talego. Pero no en una prisión normal.
Impel Down, el infierno terrenal, la trena más detestable y ominosa que el ser humano podría haber creado jamás, la cual mantenía encerrados a los peores sujetos y despojos de la humanidad. Un lugar en el que cualquier persona normal no duraría ni un solo día.
Pero grande sería la sorpresa de todos: guardias, presos y demás, cuando este crío andrajoso entrase, con su sonrisa y su actitud despreocupada, y trajera un torbellino de cambio consigo. ¿Quién lo hubiera imaginado?
Nunca hubieran imaginado un Rey más apropiado.
