"Or you.” He grazes the scar slashed across his nose- a reminder of how violent the Infected can become. Shiro smiles and takes Lance's hand, kisses the palm and holds it to his face. “You're right. Today Sam's gonna light this baby up and it's gonna distribute the shit out of some magic cure-”
“Scientific cure-”
“Isn't that what I said? The big nasal spray is gonna poof up science in the air and bam! All fixed. No problem. No big deal.”
Shiro laughs, full and loud, before leaning in and pressing their foreheads together. “All fixed. No problem. No big deal."
Lance and Shiro are going to save the world.
Well, they were supposed to.

The officer raises his hand. “You were going thirty miles over the speed limit for a date?” Lance opens his mouth and the officer lowers his sunglasses just to glare at him. “Sixty in a thirty lane. You know how fast that is?”

Summary
Shiro has come back from war crippled- his arm is gone, PTSD rules his life, and he barely remembers how to smile. His wife, unable to handle the state Shiro came home in, has left him with their son Keith.
Thus enters Lance, the new nanny. His job, technically, is to take care of Keith at all times. But seeing Shiro, how sad he is, how broken, prompts Lance to personally take over Shiro's life, trying hard to help him pick up the pieces of his life.

Summary
If things were different, and Laenor died in the Stepstones after Jace was born, how would things look if Rhaenyra had been able to marry Harwin? Well, he could claim two of his sons as his own, and spend much more time with them, and the Greens have limited ammunition to keep causing drama. That doesn't stop them, though.
Everyone's favourite scene from 1x06, reimagined so Harwin doesn't get himself shipped off to Harrenhal, and Cole still gets what's coming to him.
