Summary
Grief is a difficult thing. Everyone deals with it differently; others don’t deal with theirs at all. Izabelle Hazelwood falls smack dead in the middle.
With her old apartment cleared out and her resignation letter on her boss' desk, Izabelle books a one-way ticket to the one place she remember feeling like herself. The valley is supposed to be the place she goes to forget, where she can drown in days gone by in peace and quiet. As fate would have it, the valley is much better suited at making people confront everything they've been avoiding.
A town of full of eccentric people, a valley filled with magic beyond your wildest belief, and wily magical creatures afoot. It's a right recipe for disaster, but as someone somewhere probably said, maybe life really is just the odd friends we make along the way. We'll figure out how we get to the finish line later.
(AKA: the one where a woman accidentally falls in love with the town’s magical recluse while doing some serious soul-searching and it’s kind of a whole fiasco for everyone within a 30 mile radius.)

My tears spattered against the deed to the farmhouse out in Stardew Valley. My life had gone so wrong in the past few months, so seeing this letter, knowing that even after his death he's still looking out for me hit hard. I saw a phone number at the bottom of the letter and gave it a call.
"Hey, Lewis? This is Calliope, Albrecht's granddaughter."
