Summary
Kimi gasps the second the alpha walks through the door and Max has to place a comforting hand on the pup’s back to remind him to breathe back out again. Max is not doing much better though, his breath catches for a very different reason to Kimi - Charles is gorgeous. Max already knew that the alpha was good looking - he’s seen the camera pan in on those pretty green eyes and noticed the pink lips with the perfect cupids bow. But that is only a taster of reality. Up close Charles is impossibly beautifully. The tv can’t capture his scent and falls short of capturing his aura. Max feels a purr vibrate in his chest and has to cough to try his best to cover up the sound.

“I just want to fall apart for somebody,” he finally says, breath coming fast as he trembles.
Max just wants intimacy. He's distrustful and self-protective, but god, he just wants to let himself open up and exist safely in someone else's hands.
