Summary
The countdown timer in Pentagram City was stuck on a perpetual zero. Eventually, the citizens of Hell found the clock that no longer ticked to be a sign that they had won. No more countdown timer, no more exterminations? They certainly thought so.
Alastor is not so naïve.
He knows that the zero on the clock is not a sign of Hell’s success. It’s a ruse, a harbinger of something much larger than the extermination army, he is sure. If the irregular warning tugs on his leash are any indication, it would be sooner, rather than later.
Alastor thinks about losing what he has with Lucifer, of what he’d do to keep it. His teeth snap together as he closes his mouth. He wonders if he will be able to do anything at all, after Lucifer finds his contract, or if it will all fall through his fingers.

Summary
In the wake of Vox's failed holy war, the Pride Ring recovers. The Overlords are quiet as mice, sinners are continuing with their lives, the Hazbin Hotel has more guests than ever and the Radio Demon's name is whispered in fear and awe once again. Only this time, it's not for the same reasons as before.
Or: Hell witnessed Alastor break two deals on live television. This has consequences. Cue hordes of sinners coming to him for contract advice. Sometimes not even just sinners.

Summary
The holy war has been stopped before it ever had a chance to begin, and the aftermath of Vox's power grab has left Pentagram City in ruins. The Overlords unsure of what the future holds for them. They don't fear repercussions of their uprising from Lucifer, and Heaven is accepting those who redeem themselves. There are plenty of other sinners, however, that still want to revel in cruelty and bloodshed. The Morning Star knows now more than ever that he needs to find a way to bring order to his realm. His name is no longer feared by his subjects... but maybe he can change that.
