Summary
Ever since arriving in Boston a week and a half ago, Belly has been on the hunt for the perfect coffee shop. She finally finds it, but on her second morning there, she sees Conrad–flipping her whole world upside down. It starts with polite hellos, then small talk, then an unspoken routine: same time, same table, same quiet comfort.
There’s no grand confession– just two people finding their way back to friendship and, maybe, something else.
Or: The letters and the Paris confession never happened, but the failed wedding did. Three years later, Belly is the new sports psychologist for Boston University’s soccer teams, fresh off of graduating with her master’s. Conrad is in his last year of his residency program at Boston Children’s. Turns out, they have similar taste in coffee shops.
