Summary
Doc sighs, running a hand down his face. "I don't know what's happening with him, man. He always recognizes Hermits while he's transformed." Tango's widen to a comically large size, head swiveling to scan the treeline.
Realization dawns on Gem a moment later, rushing to join the huddle. "Doc, is Ren in control of himself right now?" Doc opens his mouth to answer, but is cut off by a prominent snap.
All heads whip to face the noise, two red eyes glaring from the trees. The largest wolf Gem has ever seen stares back at her, paw planted between two broken halves of a tree branch.
No one moves.
Then everything does.

Summary
Wrenching his eyes open to escape the awful thought, Buttons noticed something. He couldn't see himself.
It wasn't uncommon for him. Whenever Buttons got too excited or scared, he tended to fade a bit. Though he never went full invisible unless he meant to.
Whatever, he'd just.. stop doing that then. He closed his eyes and concentrated on becoming visible.
It didn't work.
