When Robb calls his banners, Jon, who had not taken his vows, is sent out by Lord Commander Joer with a small group of men to help fight in the war of Five Kings. Lord Commander Joer knows Jon’s secret and he is determined to ensure Jon knows it too before he ever allows him to swear his Night’s Watch oaths. Jon has no idea how to lead or what war will be like, but he is determined to bring his father and sisters back home. He is determined to prove that he can be the next Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. But when the truth comes out about who his parents are, his whole world changes. He goes from being a bastard that no one wanted to being the true King of the Iron Throne and everyone wanting something from him.
