Padmé had never known love, nor was she made for it. She had been raised in the dark ways of the Sith since her beginning. She was the sole apprentice of the great Lord of the Sith. The Lord's last apprentice was sacrificed so that she could take their place. Which is why she sought an apprentice. One to make two, when her master passed on. An apprentice to turn to darkness, to serve her needs, to help her fulfill... her purpose.
