“It’s me. It’s not him,” Getou says before Gojo can go any further. He casts his gaze downwards, his lips curving into a small, nostalgic smile, and his eyes flicker back up to meet Gojo’s own starlight eyes, a look of sincerity blooming in the long-haired man’s irises.
Gojo grimaces, “Do I look stupid to you?”
“Yeah,” the curse-user chuckles, “you are.”
“I made a binding vow with Kenjaku,” Getou continues, tucking his hands back into his flowing loose sleeves. There’s a red droplet that slides down and off his cheek. His hair is brushed back from his eye by a light breeze, and he suddenly looks so, so sad.
“I have twenty-four hours left, Satoru.”

Sorcerers aren’t omnipotent. One way or another, they’ll eventually encounter an unknown curse and have trouble exorcising it. And that doesn’t exclude the two strongest sorcerers.
As for Suguru’s case, however, he simply didn’t expect to be eaten by the very curse he was about to consume even more when he found himself being thrown 12 years into the future.

This was so insane. I love it so much, and I love/hate Gege Akutami for creating such tragic characters. I love happy endings. I love Geto and loved all the Choso & Yuji interactions. I think the Kenjaku and Geto thing is an interesting concept. I rarely read JJK fics because thinking of JJK makes me wanna cry (doomed yaoi and doomed siblings), but I'm really glad I managed to read this.
