Summary
“About that,” Vi says. “How’d you end up here? What did a girl like you do to get tossed into this two-star shithole?”
“Really? That’s how you ask? No subtlety in it?”
“Uh, yeah? I saved you from getting shanked in the shower, so fair’s fair. What’s your deal, topside?”
“Caitlyn,” she says. That isn’t right. That wasn’t the answer Vi was after. Names are easily given away but so seldomly remembered in Stillwater, but it echoes in Vi’s head. She almost doesn’t hear the actual answer. “And though I have no doubt a thousand people have given this answer before, I did nothing. I was doing my job, and then I was here. No trial. No sentencing. No crime to speak of.”

Half a decade into Vi's stay in Stillwater, a topsider turns up, raving about being a Councillor's daughter.

Summary
“Piltover?” Vi asks, looking back at Ekko who just shrugs. She takes a step closer to Caitlyn, invading her space. “Let me ask you something– Caitlyn–was it?” Her voice is so close to her face. “You got a last name?” Caitlyn feels her stomach drop at the question.
“Well, actually…this might sound mad–” Caitlyn starts. She turns away from Vi, in need of some reprieve. She rubs her brow with the tips of her fingers, as if she could conjure up a better answer. “I don’t know my last name. I was found wandering around when I was about nine years old,” Caitlyn says sheepishly.
Vi nods, as if she understood. “And, uh, before that– before you were nine?” She brings her finger to her chin.
“Look, I know I must sound ridiculous, but I genuinely don’t remember. I have– very few memories of my past.” Caitlyn looks down at her hands clasped in front of her now. Her thumbs rub together.
Vi looks back at Ekko again, huffing a small laugh.
“Well I do have one clue, I suppose. And that is Piltover."

Summary
Vi saw her and knew.
Caitlyn saw Vi...and everything got complicated. One grew up in the South Side, where dreams don't survive.
The other was raised in luxury, where perfection was a cage. They stand together for years, caught in the gravity of what’s never said.
But something has been waiting in the dark — and it's finally reaching for them. And it will change everything.
Will they ever name the light they’ve always kept hidden?
"Vi swallowed thickly, her heartbeat pounding so loud in her temples it drowned out everything else.
It felt like it was pumping molten gold; dense, burning, and unbearably precious.
She was a paradox made flesh. A hurricane of stillness. Chaos flooding in perfect harmony.
How could something so dizzying, so immense, feel so soothing?
How could the tight knot in her throat be the only thing keeping her grounded?
Nothing seemed to exist but the sheer need to answer those damn questions. Two forces crammed into a space too tight not to clash."Completed story. Full arc. Chapter updates daily.

Summary
The door creaked loudly and she winced, checking behind her into an empty hall to see if anyone heard. Beatrice did not even notice the lit candle by the window until she walked in and saw movement.
She reached for the knife on her hip but it wasn’t there.
Damn pajamas.
“Were you about to shoot me?” Ava asked, her hair down out of its usual form.
Oh.
“I was reaching for my dagger, actually,” Beatrice answered truthfully, pulling her robe tighter. “You frightened me.”
“I was here first, you scared me.” Ava looked her up and down, a long thing that made Beatrice skin burn. “It’s nice to know where you keep your knife though, for next time.”

Summary
Foundry 17 is one of New York City’s most coveted dinner reservations. A sleek steakhouse forged from the bones of an old metalworks, where nothing is ever lukewarm, least of all the tension between head chef Vi Lanes and front-of-house lead Caitlyn Kiramman.
Vi cooks with fire and instinct, building dishes from the ground up with fresh, handpicked ingredients. Caitlyn pairs them with expert precision, curating wines and spirits that turn each meal into an experience. Together, they craft something unforgettable.
But behind the perfect plating and polished charm, old wounds simmer and secrets threaten to boil over. In the kitchen, timing is everything—and so is knowing when to turn up the heat.
