Summary
We live in a society in which about 80% of people are born with supernatural powers known as quirks. If anything, being quirkless or remaining “normal” is much less common than being born with a quirk. You’re seen as an outcast solely because you’re not like the others.
Rui Kamishiro was no stranger to this; at the tender age of 5 he faced the harsh reality that men are not created equal—he was destined to remain quirkless for the rest of his days. Despite these hardships, he wouldn’t let that get him down. After all, he didn’t need to have a powerful quirk in order to get into Japan’s most famous school for producing heroes. No, he spent most of his days tinkering on machines and creating useful gadgets for the heroes, aspiring to get into UA’s support course. Of course, he passed the exam with flying colours. He had worked tirelessly just to get here, and he wasn’t going to let this opportunity go to waste. He was going to prove that he could still be a hero, even without a quirk.
