Summary
Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was the nicotine, maybe it was the weight of graduation that’s been sitting in the back of his mind, but whatever it was, Thomas found himself nodding anyway, agreeing to the same kind of impulsiveness he would’ve usually talked himself out of. Except this time, he was the one who had suggested it.
Or: Thomas proposes a spontaneous beach trip to the guy he’s been in love with for six years, three days before graduation. Surely nothing goes wrong.

Summary
As Saps drives, Flux traces their route along the paper map. It stretches halfway across the dashboard, thin paper crinkling beneath his fingers. He traces out where they’ve been, where they’ve started, and where they might be going. This highway leads all the way to the coast, where the rest of the world crumbles into the ocean. Behind them is everything that has ever existed.
or, Flux runs away to see the ocean, he and Saps are soulmates, and only one of them knows how to swim.
