    Ted figures by the look on Trent’s face he’s got about a minute of good manners left in him before he snaps into the version of good manners English folks use when they actually want to be rude (which ain’t all that different from their usual good manners, he’s noticed) so he’s gotta work quick here.

    Trent has a bad day. Ted makes it better.

    Summary

    By the time they get back into their own bed, Trent's feet are ice blocks; he shoves them unceremoniously between Ted's calves as they wind themselves around each other. Ted chuckles sleepily as he picks grass out of Trent's hair. "Gonna have to shower later on, sweetheart," he yawns into Trent's forehead. "You look like you went twelve rounds with Katie's Bad Boy."

    "As opposed to two rounds with my own," Trent yawns back, and falls asleep to Ted's delighted gasp of, "Trent Alexander Crimm, well I never."

    Summary

    This is the plain truth of it: there’s no part of himself, body or soul, that he hasn’t already put in Trent’s hands.

    After they return from Kansas, Ted and Trent spend the day in bed.

    (A sequel to praycambrian's "on this ground" and leupagus's "a kind of dwell and welcome.")

    Summary

    Trent realises that Ted’s relying on him to make this happen—to be the one who can ask the questions, light the path that might lead them to some answers. So he summons his courage, and twenty-five years of professional experience in getting right to the point.

    A coda to "a kind of dwell and welcome," about what happens the night of Richmond’s victory and the morning after.

    let evening come by kirazi

    trent pov, mild hurt/comfort. set immediately after “a kind of dwell and welcome”. this companion piece hit me in quite a personal way (like “on this ground” did) and i really really enjoyed it.
