Summary
Jean went into the forest every summer evening since he had heard about the waterfall and found a way to the lake beneath it. The path was faint but easy, not a long walk from the farm, one he could manage even after a long day of work. It was a good place to rest and think, as he tried to convince himself at the beginning. Peaceful. Open. The spirit living beneath the cascades was noisy but otherwise did not bother Jean; he decided to do the same and observed from a distance. He found himself getting closer to the edge of the woods instead. Bit by bit, but never daring to stand in the vicinity of what he assumed was the creature's territory. He did not even notice when he began to cross this imaginary border.
Or
Jeremy is a snake boy living in the lake, and Jean is new in the village.

Summary
“Music is the only thing in my life that has never let me down. The only thing that has been consistently there for me.”
It’s 1975, and The Kings’ Men are one of the biggest bands on the planet - a juggernaut of hit rock songs, in the midst of a marathon North American tour, and more money and groupies than sense. But lead guitarist Kevin Day has severely injured his hand in a skiing accident, and Jeremy Knox has received the call up to replace him for the remaining tour leg. For an artist who has been trying to make it solo, it’s a dream come true.
Bassist Jean Moreau is angry, and withdrawn, but he and Jeremy click quickly, and as the tension between them grows, a different kind of tension is also brewing within The Kings’ Men. And when the curtain calls time, will they all go home alive?
