Summary
“Are you ever gonna say yes to me, Del Mar?” Jack asked quietly, almost as if he was just voicing his thoughts out loud.
Ennis opened his mouth to reply, but no words would come. Whenever he tried to say yes, a thousand reasons would tell him not to, and he was afraid. He was so damn afraid.
Jack caught their reflection in the window and felt that old, familiar blade push back into place. “Yeah.” He whispered, placing his cigarette back between his lips and turning to find his clothes. “I thought as much.”

Summary
“Only if you wanted to,” Barnes says.
“If I wanted?” Walker asks. Barnes must be doing some sort of mental gymnastics here, because there’s no way he’d ever be suggesting this.
Bucky rolls his hips, and a groan leaves Walker’s lips. “If you want,” Barnes says, soft expression now wiped from his face. A casual shrug.
Walker hates that he’s genuinely considering this. Barnes is impossibly warm, and Walker has been having these faded dreams of hands on his shoulders, thighs pressed against him, lips on his skin.
“Either way, you’ll never let me live this down, right?” Walker asks, because of course Barnes would never give it up.
Barnes just smiles at him.
Walker closes his eyes. He might as well. Feels better than getting punched in the face, and beats the boredom just as effectively.Bookmarked by qpyd

Bookmarker's Notes
“Shrapnel,” Bucky says, metallic hand letting go of Walker to trace the faint scars on his chest. Walker yelps at the sudden loss, instinctively reaches for himself. The cold sends shivers down his spine, and he feels so close. “Bullet wound, bullet wound,” Bucky continues, almost mindlessly, like he’s putting pieces of a puzzle together. “Stab wound - oh, this bruise is fresh,” Bucky says, and presses lightly on it. Walker gasps, but can’t even find the strength to say something back. “Have you been playing rough with anyone else, John?”
