    Hayden watches the man who is climbing down to the ice. He sits up gingerly, careful not to wake the baby or Ruby. “Jacks?”
    Jackie sits up immediately, bleary eyed, “What’s wrong?”
    Hayden points to the TV, “Uh?”
    “He just hopped the boards.”
    Hayden’s transfixed as Scott leads the man onto the ice, spins around, and then they’re kissing. On live TV. Scott Hunter, Captain of the New York fucking Admirals is kissing a man on live TV.
    “Well you don’t see that everyday. Pretty big night for hockey. And listen to the crowd, they’re loving this. Good for him. Good for Scott Hunter!”
    Hayden tears his eyes away from the TV and looks at his wife. “Holy shit.”
    “Swear jar, Daddy,” says Jade, already sliding off the couch to go play like the world hasn’t just tilted on its goddamn axis.
    Jackie’s eyes are wide and filling with tears, “Oh my god. Oh my god.” She lets out a shaky laugh, “Oh my god. Hayden, Scott Hunter’s gay. Like Shane’s gay.”
    Hayden stares at her, “What?”
