Elliot has always known there was something wrong with her. She hated being perceived as a female. It wasn't her. She always pushed the feeling down, especially now, that she was in this hellhole. No time to think of such tomfoolery.
But still, everytime she was adressed by anything feminine, it made her pick at her skin. she hated it. She wouldn't ever tell her fellow teammates, or friends, well, both, that. It wasn't until Noob found a crying Elliot in her cabin, that she finally told someone how she felt.
And Chance and Elliot are idiots in love (it's painful to watch, everybody knows)

Allie, Claire, Johnny and Arthur were cowboys from a young age. They lived in a dusty, sunbaked settlement cradled by dry hills and wide canyons with a population of less than 300.
All were abandoned by family, leaving them to fend for themselves. While they slept on the dirt and ran, trying to find shelter, they met each other. Due to having similar issues, they quickly hit it off.
They were their own family now, and they didn't mind it. They had eachother, and that's what really mattered.

Summary
The last thing they ever wanted was for a little kid to be apart of this hellhole, but in Forsaken, you can't always get what you want.
When a new survivor is introduced to this hell, you could say they were surprised by a new one, nonetheless a kid. Everyone tries their best to comfort and help, but the kid warms up to Chance instead. Taking everyone by surprise, she stays glued to Chance.
And Chance? He lets it happen. He takes care of her as if she was his little sister, and he promises to protect her. No matter what.
She looks up to him.
And he sees himself in her.
