Summary
In the spring of ‘70, Steve Harrington goes missing for nine years.
He’s taken from his backyard, in broad daylight. No one sees it happen, no one can find any trace of where he went. One day he was there, the next he wasn’t.
Hawkins lab wasn’t a place for kids to live happy lives, Steve learned that first hand.
But, in his time at Hawkins lab, he meets a boy in his dreams. Not every night, but most of them.
When The Upside down invades Hawkins, Steve will do anything to stop it from hurting the people that he loves.
Anything.

Summary
Hellfire is down one member due to a basketball game, so Dustin is looking for replacements. Who better to call than Steve Harrington?
Too bad Steve says no. Even worse, Steve decides to make it his problem to confront Eddie Munson for messing with his rugrats' unbreakable bond because, really, wasn't Eddie the adult here? Shouldn't he be the one making the better call?
(OR: Steve Harrington unwittingly forces himself into Eddie Munson's introduction to the Upside Down)
(OR, OR: Season 4 rewrite where Eddie is both metal and gay, and Steve is a tired babysitter (mom) who makes a comment that leads to the wrong conclusion... but maybe... it's not wrong? Maybe it actually makes a whole lot of sense, now that he thinks about it...)
(OR, OR, OR: Season 4, but Eddie doesn't run and Mike doesn't go to California. And it changes pretty much everything.)

Summary
Six years after Eddie Munson summons a demon during a high school final club ritual and is pulled into hell, Steve Harrington returns as a teacher in a misguided attempt at exposure therapy. He doesn’t expect a group of nerdy and curious teens to start delving into the urban legends about Eddie’s mysterious disappearance, dredging up all of Steve’s worst memories in the process. The more they ask about Eddie, the more Steve’s nights are plagued by unsettling and arousing dreams.
After a tense confrontation with the kids, Steve’s nightmare features a monstrous version of Eddie, hellbent on revenge, who might not actually be a figment of Steve’s subconscious, and definitely isn’t dead. Determined to rescue Eddie, Steve is ready to die to make up for his past failures. But Steve and Eddie are playing with forces they don’t quite understand, and it turns out the cost might not be to Steve at all, but to one of the kids.

Summary
Steve gets high in the back of Eddie Munson's van. His back hurts. His head hurts. His first love called him bullshit.
He doesn't know why he thought this was a good idea. Can't even remember how he got here.
All he can think is how good Eddie's van would be for puppies. Two velvety blue bench seats behind the driver's and passenger's seats, with enough room between the second bench and the back panel doors for Eddie's nest.
It's just a small round bed walled in by pillows and old leather, but Steve's eyes burn every time he looks at it.
He and Eddie are nowhere near close enough for him to, like, clamber inside and curl down, though. Why would he even want that? Stupid.

Summary
‘Blood?’ Eddie says again.
Eyes black but for the slice of iridescent white in the centre. His teeth are sharp, his hands are weapons and Steve thinks maybe he’s made a mistake doing this without telling Eddie first. Eddie’s focus lowers, it moves to his left hand which is…
Oh fuck.
It’s dripping blood onto the floor.
‘Shit,’ Steve says, takes a single step back, swallows. ‘Eddie, I’m so sorry, fuck.’
Eddie can’t seem to look away, can’t bring his ethereal gaze back up where it belongs. Steve thinks he should run, he should flee. A tiny part of him knows Eddie will chase him. Eddie will catch him, outrun him easily.
It's more than a little fucked up how that thrills him.
