   And Katsuki’s heart was aching so much, it was breaking to pieces, but he couldn’t do this anymore. He needed Izuku to stay the fuck away from him. He needed to stay the fuck away from Izuku.

   He needed to distance himself and smother that feeling – that love he felt. He needed to move on. And he knew it – he would never be able to do it while Izuku was there by his side, smiling and touching him and bumping into him and playing with his hair. He would never be able to live through it – he would never be able to stop loving the man who taught him what love was in the first place.

   It would be better if Izuku hated him. Maybe then he could hate Izuku too.
   What option is better? To know what it’s like to have you and lose you, and live forever in pain, or to give you up so I can live in less misery, and end up without you all the same?”
