Summary
August doesn’t think anything of his sudden appearance, or his just as quick disappearance. He supposes on some theoretical level it might be nice to get to know his neighbors, although he can’t see the point in putting a lot of effort into the endeavor.
“I guess I’ll see you around,” Jude concludes his first visit, no eggs or sugar borrowed, because August rarely keeps unnecessary food items in his kitchen.
Then just before he leaves Jude winks at him.
