Summary
Somewhere deep inside his own mind, he wonders if the rescue operation had really been worth it. Maybe they would have been better off if they had left him to the League, tied up and drugged whenever he raised his voice too much. Maybe after his nth refusal to their proposition, they would have killed him. He can think of all the ways they could have done it, can already remember the feeling of the blonde girl's cold knife hoovering around his skin, of the way Shigaraki looked at him, ready to use his decay on him. Maybe All for One would have stolen his quirk, and dumped his useless body somewhere nobody could reach, leaving him waiting for a slow death.
Maybe that would have been better for everyone.
