And Tsukasa blinks at her, slowly, a beautiful and vaguely naive sort of deer. It’s a lovely contrast worn on a creature built by nature with claws and teeth. Not the slow-dawning realization of what Senku is offering (asking for just as much) so much as a gentle coming-to, like a thing in hibernation longer than either of them have known each other has finally, finally started waking up.
