I know the tags say Ikkan/Warabi AND Gen but that's because it's not explicitly romantic but they are Partners y'know? This one's for the aros, if you know you Know™. The fic is shipper-friendly though.
"Ikkan had always been the laid-back one of the squad, but not like this, he had always been able to keep up. In fact, he used to be able to do more than keep up. Sure, Murasaki laid the beat, but Ikkan was the one to make sure they maintained it. He would keep a steady pace, keeping Murasaki’s energy in check and providing the groundwork for Namida and Ichiya to build upon. Then he had started falling behind. He just could not match their tempo anymore."
Following the end of Squid Squad, for almost 2 and a half years, Ikkan was completely gone from the public eye, before he suddenly re-appeared in the limelight together with a previously unknown partner. What happened here? What was he up to during that time, and why did Squid Squad disband in the first place? Well, here's the full story, from Ikkan's perspective, that is.
