It is 2019. Rikiya Shimabukuro wakes, with a huge gasp of air, sitting bolt-upright in a room he does not recognize. The nurse in the room is shocked, but maintains composure enough to keep him in his bed. "You've been out for ten years," she explains. He doesn't remember ever arriving at hospital, but evidently, some city officials were inspecting the bull ring after Shit Went Down, and discovered some very bruised and defeated bulls, many spent shell casings, and one bloodied Fighting Viper.
Evidently, a lot has happened in the ten years he's been in a coma. The Ryudo family have vanished, all but forgotten to the citizens of Ryukyu, and it's been years since anybody has seen his beloved aniki. Thus begins a quest of renewal, rediscovery, and reflection, as Rikiya not only must regain his title of the Fighting Viper of Okinawa, and discover what happened to his Family, he must also come to terms with what he's lost - whether or not he'll ever see Kiryu again.
