Summary
It has been weeks since they had repaired the Paradox Prism and saved reality, but despite that victory a lingering doubt remained. One hedgehog still had an uneasy sense all was not right with their world, and had made it his mission to unravel the mystery once and for all. He was about to learn that fixing a shattered universe was harder than they'd thought, and now they faced a threat to their very existence none of them could have predicted. As the lines between friend and foe blur, can the self proclaimed Ultimate Lifeform and an unlikely team of heroes win a race against time across the multiverse to set things right before they lose everything?
I thought it was a shame Prime didn't get a Season 4, particularly as the latter part of Season 3 felt a little anti-climactic. So, here's a genuine attempt to tell a story as if it were another full season. Set after the finale, this time from the perspective of everyone's favourite black and red hedgehog. Could Shadow really could have done a better job than Sonic like he claimed? Will a certain angry fox can get the ending he actually deserves? And exactly how challenging should it have been to go up against one of the smartest people in the multiverse?

Summary
Heroes were supposed to make choices. They were the moral standard for the people around them, what they said and did mattered. They made the decisions that changed lives, and they lived with the emotional rewards or consequences of those decisions.
It’s a real shame Sonic wasn’t much of a hero anymore. Maybe Tails still is.

Summary
Tails is a hero. Dependable, threatening, responsible. Which makes him an adult in the eyes of many– he’s a war veteran, after all. Fought to take back their world just the same as anyone older than him. He’d manufactured the wispons, and he was expected to wield them and himself against any threat possible.
It didn’t matter that the radio-silence from Sonic and the pressure caused him to run away. He’d returned. He’d grown up. He had to.
It just meant that he had to grow faster. So he did, and he will– Tails is excellent at changing himself for the sake of others. It’s what he grew up doing, and it’s what he’ll keep doing.
So it starts with a favour.

Tails and Sonic make a pit stop on the lovely Mount Splatterhorn, eager to enjoy a beautiful summer day with chilidogs in hand and wacky wordplay on the mind. Next thing they know, Robotnik manages to ruin their campout while working on a plan to conquer the entire world. A regular Saturday morning, really.
One ski accident and a cup of hot cocoa later, the situation turns south for the supersonic hedgehog, and his best friend finds himself at a standstill. What is a hero to do?
