It was dangling from that trap, flapping its wings fiercely enough to send its body spasming in the air, but clearly slowing with every passing second. Sparks flew between its feathers, casting a too-soft glow that flickered dangerously. It was getting weaker.
Roman gasped. “Virge, that’s–”
“Injured.” Virgil’s voice was clipped, distant. Didn’t have time to think about whether it was polite; not with the angle of that wing, not with the strangled whimpers floating in the air. “I got it.”
He was already moving forward, getting a closer look, taking in every angle.
Logan was, too. “Do you have protective gloves? Or– ah. A salve, a… spell, potion? Anything resistant to heat?”
Virgil didn’t answer.

Summary
Short fic about the first time Virgil tells anyone that he loves them. It... goes about as well as you would expect.

He wished he could answer his Center's query. But the truth was, Virgil didn't know. He didn't know exactly what it was setting off his senses all week, only that it reeked of wrongwrongwrongwrong. Only that something was going to happen, and he didn't know what, but Thomas had to be ready. Maybe it would help him fix the problem, or hell, maybe it would help Thomas avoid the problem– whatever it was– entirely. Virgil very much liked the sound of that second option, and he kept goading Thomas on. Trying to keep his Center alert, keep him noticing things, keep him ready.Except it was all very quickly taking its toll on Thomas.
And Thomas must have decided that he'd had enough of the useless paranoid piece of shit that refused to play well with others, that had lied about working with them and easing up, because here they were: the final standoff, the big 'good riddance.'
“I just wish I understood why you were doing this.” Thomas groaned out, exhaustion and hurt flashing in his soft brown eyes.

Summary
About a year after Michael learns about haunted animatronics, he takes a visit to an abandoned pizzeria in his hometown of Hurricane, Utah.
He knows he won't actually find his brother's ghost there, but feels obligated to check, anyway.
And Michael is blind-sided when he finds his little brother's ghost in the pizzeria.
Once he realizes who Michael is, Evan is ecstatic to have his big brother back. He's so happy that he demands they play games together to make up for lost time and the loving brothership they never had. But Evan has been dead for so long that he doesn't understand basic human necessities. He doesn't understand why Mikey keeps insisting he needs to stop playing for things like sleeping, eating, and getting something to drink. And Evan gets violently angry at his big brother every time he "ruins their fun" with his unnecessary requests.
The longer Evan’s games go on, the more certain Mike gets that he might not make it out alive. His little brother's love might just be what kills him.

“Shut up!” he yells, and it’s right here where he makes the biggest mistake in Mercia’s visit.
Having your head smashed into a concrete wall isn’t something Merlin would recommend. “Don’t you fucking dare yell at me. Do you understand? How dare you be so insolent. You know, I was going to give you a small kick and be done with it, let the Prince deal with you himself as I’m sure he does. But no one disrespects me like that, boy. You hear me?”Merlin knows that Arthur doesn't truly hurt him because he wants to, he knows that the prince is just used to horseplay. Merlin also knows that Arthur would never beat him, or any servant for that matter, and he's secure in his knowledge of that. Visiting knights, however, seem to have a different idea of what happens behind closed doors, especially when they see all the things Arthur throws at his servant. So, if the prince can hurt Merlin, why can't they?
