Bookmarker's Notes
Falling hard in a timespan far far faster than the book, this fic has some of the most sappy prose I’ve read in a while, it’s a very fun & fast paced (timeline-wise) read. These boys deeply care for each other in a way that they have carved a hole perfectly shaped for the other inside their very soul. Really love how this author does punctual as well. Their sentences are so satisfying.

Summary
Telling people about Ilya is an even bigger deal, somehow, because even those few who are fine with Shane being gay have a difficult time with the Rozanov of it all. Shane doesn’t like dwelling on how much it bothers him because… well, it’s inevitable, isn’t it? He’s always gonna have to defend his decision to be with his boyfriend, like Ilya’s not the kindest, strongest, most beautiful person Shane knows. Like he’s not the love of Shane’s life.

Summary
After coming out to Rose, Shane decides he doesn't want to lie anymore, even if he isn't sure coming out will mean he gets happily ever after with Ilya. When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.

@NHLInsider It’s been a rough week for Ilya Rozanov after a storybook start to the season. After suffering bruised ribs during Ottawa’s game against Montreal on Thursday, now one of his former flames has come forward claiming he was a less-than-stellar partner.
TikTok user @bostonbethany posted a video on Saturday detailing her encounter with Rozanov back in 2017. She says he didn’t pay for her drinks, was constantly checking his phone, could barely make conversation after leading her to believe he was interested in a relationship, failed to satisfy her in the bedroom after trying for nearly an hour, and never called her again.
This comes as Rozanov is out for at least two weeks with his injury, while the Centaurs, including his husband Shane Hollander, head to Berlin for two games against Detroit as part of the NHL’s Global Series.
We’ll let you know if we hear anything back from Rozanov’s camp.
