    Summary

“Something is wrong.” Viktor stopped just behind him. “What is it?”
Jayce's shoulders shifted, a ripple of something. A flinch, Viktor wondered, and he frowned.
    “It's--” an exhale. “Complicated.”
    Viktor's face softened.
“Jayce.” He thought he saw the man shiver. He made his voice even smaller. “What is it?”

Thirteen years ago, Jayce had almost died.

Or, in all possibilities, Viktor cannot bear to let Jayce remain cold, even when he doesn't realize he's always been the one to make him warm. Or, Viktor keeps saving Jayce over and over again like a paradigm.

    Summary

After the events of Arcane, Jayce and Viktor merge with their Runeterran selves, bringing with them all the memories and knowledge of their Arcane counterparts. Now Jayce and Viktor must deal with this horrible, new revelation and all the history that comes with it, but are they able to put aside their own longer and more tumultuous history here to make amends? And can they do it long enough to figure out what is causing the Hextech surges currently plaguing their timeline, or will a third entity - now equipped with the same knowledge of the Arcane timeline as they are - doom this world as it tried to do once before?

    Summary

He sees the man beside Jayce—pale skin, dark hair, slight build. From one of the higher houses, based on his dress.

It’s simple, unassuming—the man leans in and puts his hand on Jayce’s shoulder, whispers something in his ear. Proprietary, familiar. Jayce does not know him, because Viktor does not know him, and Jayce and Viktor’s social circle is small.

Viktor sees the porcelain in Jayce’s perfect smile crack, a hairline fracture.

He sees him freeze, just for a moment.

    Summary

Jayce stares blankly at Viktor's finger on the paper, the straight lines and neat handwriting beneath it. It's just dates and numbers. Nothing to corroborate what he thinks he just heard. "Sorry, can you say that again?"

"Twenty point seven seconds. I think—this seems promising, no?"

"No, I." Jayce says. "You—" He closes his eyes for a moment to gather himself, takes a breath. "Uh, Viktor? Whose semen did you feed into the Hexcore?"

Viktor spins in the stool, and Jayce can finally see, with a rush of homesickness, his golden eyes, the impatient set of his mouth. "What do you mean, whose semen? My semen. Who else would—what kind of unethical operation do you think I'm running here?"

    Summary

How is he even supposed to respond to that?

Thanks, I’m well aware of how people see me and how they want me. The one fumbling entanglement in the basement of a house party was enough for me though, because she found it weird when I started crying and then got so mad that I wouldn’t scent her that she left.

And I only did it because she smelled so good, like a river, like fresh cut grass, and it made me so jealous I was dizzy with it. I wanted to be her, and I thought that was close enough to wanting her, and it wasn’t, and it took five minutes for my knot to go down after I locked myself in the bathroom to jerk off and I had a panic attack the whole time and then I threw up in the sink and vowed to be celibate for the rest of my life.

“She’s not my type either,” he settles on, maybe more melancholic than he means to be.
