Summary
Sometimes, one moment can be enough to destroy or save a life. I’m not yet sure what this will turn out to be. It might be both. A life saved, in exchange for three ruined. Even so, I do not regret my decision.
Or: In an emotional moment, a civilian changes from a simple bystander into a wanted criminal. The crime? Helping a captured Jedi escape from the clutches of the empire. The price? Any normality she might have had before.

Summary
To be entirely fair, Zhongli had planned to fake his death. He would drop a fake Exuvia just as the Qixing called for him during the Rite of Descension, and he would let everything unfold from there.
That had been the plan. He might’ve started to regret the circumstances, but never the end result. Rex Lapis was meant to die.Zhongli wasn’t.
So why did he?
And if he did,Why was he awake now, somewhere he did not at all recognize?

Or, Zhongli not-quite-transmigrates into a modern version of Teyvat and has to figure out why the Zhongli from that universe (whose body he took over) has died, along with other things threatening the nation. With the other Zhongli dead, he's the only Morax left, after all.
