Summary
When visiting the campus for Gotham University, Percy and Annabeth couldn't help but feel something...wrong about the whole city. The Greek kind of wrong. SecUnit is staring at him. Ratthi accidentally makes eye contact again, and its gaze doesn’t dart away like it normally does. It stays locked onto his. Deliberately maintaining the eye contact.
Ratthi flexes his hands. His skin is tacky with fluids and the webs of his fingers stick together. “You’re really worrying me, SecUnit. Talk to me. Tell me you’re okay.”
“I’m okay,” SecUnit says immediately.
(OR: After Murderbot is attacked by the company and has its governor module switched back on, it can’t speak freely to ask for help. It takes its friends a while to notice.)
