Even now after they've reached an agreement, an alliance, a fragile friendship, Lex still hasn't changed. He still wants him. And if Clark isn't sure how to proceed, Kal is and he will not let Lex slip through his fingers like Clark is willing to.

Summary
Clark tells Lex his secret after the accident on the bridge and it changes everything.
15 years later, Clark is a reporter working at the Daily Planet and Lex is CEO of Luthorcorp. The two haven't spoken in 10 years after a falling out. Perry White catches wind that Clark and Lex used to be friends back in the day and assigns a profile on the notoriously press-averse Luthor to Kent.
The story takes place in two timelines that will eventually converge: the present and 15 years prior.
I come from the Jane Austen school of yearning so this is an *actual* slowburn story, though will become explicit (at various points in each timeline).
